Feature Requests

We have thousands of projects that have built up. We need a way to see a list of projects with last activity date and open actions remaining to find candidates to archive without the need to click into every one of them.

Currently, Hive allows projects to be set in "draft mode", but you can only see if a project is in draft mode when the project is open. This can be problematic when working on multiple projects simultaneously, as it's easy to forget to disable draft mode for each project once completed. We propose adding a warning sign in the general UI that indicates there are still projects in draft mode. Ideally, hovering over the warning sign would display a list of the projects that are currently in draft mode. In addition (not part of this request), it would be really nice if we could enable / exit draft mode for several projects simultaneously ( https://hiveteams.canny.io/feature-requests/p/draft-mode-dropdown-to-enable-exit-draft-mode-for-several-projects-and-summary-v ), and to have a quick key (not part of this request) to enable / exit draft mode for individual projects ( https://hiveteams.canny.io/feature-requests/p/quick-key-for-draft-mode ).

A network diagram is the only project management tool that shows project slack (aka: float). A task's or milestone's slack is the time that the activity can be delayed without impacting the project end date. Hive actions already include parameters for all data required to construct and industry-standard network diagram; including action name, action duration, and dependancies. The new network diagram should include the critical path, early-start, early-finish, late-start-late-finish, slack, and total project duration. For simplicity, Hive could limit the node type to only milestones. A sample project description is attached with the associated network diagram. I and my students are available to help develop this.

It would be helpful if the projects in the location drop down within the "Create a New Project" pop up was nested. This way, users can click on the grandparent/parent folder first to drop down and select the correct subfolder. Right now, it is one giant list and time consuming to locate the correct project.

When clients are dragging their feet, it becomes quite tedious to update timelines. Would be nice it it could be marked somehow that the project is not late.

Reorder projects in the Project Navigator to see the most important projects first, followed by all. As someone who can see most projects in our Hive Platform, it'd be great to put mine at the top and then see the rest. Alternatively, if you could filter the project navigator by person on the project.

Would be incredibly helpful to be able to choose the level of access (read-only) for multiple partners AND multiple projects at once from the Manage Project Members in Project Navigator. Right now, you have to go into each individual project to select the access level.
