On our team, we have "special teams" who are one or two person teams that always work on specific tasks for each and every project (project = action card), and then 10 or so designers who are each assigned to an overall project and rely on assistance from the special teams. Only one, maybe two, designer(s) is ever assigned to each action card at a time. For any given project, our special teams are always assigned to the same subactions via the action card templates, and any subactions that will eventually be assigned to the designer are left unassigned. If I know which designer will be working on a project, I can assign them to the card, and then apply the action card templates, which auto-assigns them to any subactions that are not yet assigned. But if I apply action card templates before assigning a designer, then I need to go and individually assign the designer to every unassigned subaction on that action card, as the only option you are given is to assign them to all subactions, or to none of them. It would be great if, when an unassigned action card that has subactions already set up (some of which are already assigned to users) is finally assigned, that you are given an option (whether prompted or automatically via settings) to assign all the still-unassigned subactions to the same user assigned to the action card. Something similar to placeholders would be great, but placeholders is a project-wide tool, so if I set up a Designer placeholder and assign it on one action card, it assigns that user to ALL our action cards (which can be upwards of 150+ action cards, depending on the time of year). I would love if this feature could be limited to individual action cards instead of being project-wide.
