Change Action card status without changing Subaction status

Currently, when you change the Status of an Action, it changes the Status of all the Subactions under it. But when you have different people working on an Action in different phases, it doesn't make sense for a change in Status to apply for all Subactions. It ends up being confusing and misleading information. When changing a status at the Action card level with Subactions underneath, it would be great to have a popup asking if you want the change in Status to affect all the Subactions. Hive does this in other functions, why not for this too?

Marking a Completed Parent Action Unstarted changes all of the Subaction Status to Unstarted.

Currently, if the user accidentally changes a status on a parent action, the status for child action changes as well. It would be helpful if user receives a prompt for multiple changes.

When making project unstarted, don't re-open completed tasks

When project status are updated to "unstarted," people often automatically click to move sub actions to the same status. This re-opens closed and completed tasks, causing someone to have to go back and manually reclose all their tasks. If a project is moved to unstarted, it would be easier for sub-actions to not be automatically affected

Will you consider making the feature a project setting so that we can prevent users from changing subaction statuses: https://hiveteams.canny.io/feature-requests/p/ability-to-turn-off-globally-the-prompt-to-changeupdate-assignees-statuses-and-l
The popup does not prevent users from changing subaction statuses by mistake, which can mess up things quite a bit.

Yes please! We have one person overseeing the main action but several others assigned to subactions. Sometimes Hive asks if I want to change the subactions but sometimes it does it automatically. Just don't change it or ask. Let us assign who we want to subactions.

Francie Sanderson: We have a similar situation with subactions typically having their own assignees, statuses, labels, etc. You may want to upvote the following feature requests:

Yesterday, a team member marked a parent action with ~30 subactions, of which only seven had been completed, as complete by mistake. I had to open every subaction, look into its history to find out whether it had been completed before or not and adjust its status. It happens at least once every month.

I've found that sometimes Hive does NOT auto change all the subactions beneath it (such as when I'm changing statuses in Table view sometimes), and it would be great if there was a project-level setting that let you select if you wanted it to update all subaction statuses whenever you update the main action card status. I would prefer if it wasn't a pop up as someone who is constantly changing statuses, especially since i know people on my team do not read the pop ups... a set setting would be much better.
