Feature Requests

A poll would allow a team to generate a quick consensus on a topic (e.g. do you like the music in this video - select "yes" or "no" and saving the need for a lengthy conversation). It would also allow to canvas for availability or get direct feedback (e.g. what day is everyone available to meet to discuss the Smith Account via Zoom).

Allow search within chat to find topics in long chat strings more easily

When we are marked in our Status as IN A MEETING, or OOO, can this block chats or send an OOO message asking people to email or call? I purposely put myself OOO on Friday's to get some important projects done but the chats just keep coming through instead of letting them know I'm unavailable. Turning off Messenger doesn't solve the problem either.

I miss messages all of the time because I don't notice the message alert pop-up before it disappears.

It is very difficult to reference the message /topic we are replying to. (See how it is done in Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, etc.) This feature request was previously merged with threads which was not what the team needed.

It would be neat if there was a gif library like giffy or tenor so you could easily respond to aN action card comment with a gif.

Problem: Draft-containing chats get buried, so users miss them. Solution: Automatically place conversations with drafts at the top (or add a “Drafts” section). Value: Improves visibility and reduces unfinished communication.

Problem: Drafts can be lost on device changes, or cleared storage. Solution: Save drafts to the database per user + thread/action. Value: Reliable drafting across devices and sessions.

Problem: Users forget they have unsent drafts because there is no visual indicator. Solution: Display a pencil/draft icon on chat threads with a saved draft. Value: Fewer lost drafts, faster follow-through.

Problem: Current GIF search feels limited and misses relevant results. Solution: Enhance search UX (more results, trending/categories, better relevance, larger picker). Value: Faster, more useful communication and less frustration.
