Ability to organize projects into folders that can be pinned to the left hand sidebar

We'd like the ability to add projects to Folders. This is different from adding a project to a parent project (even though parent projects mimic a folder structure, we're looking for a folder that isn't also its own project).

Users would be able to set the folder a project belongs to when creating or editing a project.

Gail Kroeplin This is live! If you pin a parent project, you'll see that you have the ability to expand the hierarchy in the 'pinned' section.

Kelley Bunge Thank you! I think the intention was for us to be able to create our own folders that we can then organize projects in on the side bar

Kelley Bunge I agree with Gail and Katherine. The resolution does not address the original request...being able to create folders (plural) to put projects into as a way of organizing projects.

This is so great! I was tryig to figure this out myself as I like to open a folder for "Creative" and see all of their projects. Thanks for bringing this to the forefront.

We dont even need to have them pinned on the left side but just allow us to put projects into folders. eg one could be a client name another could be waiting for approval another could be quotes etc. This cant be that hard to do on your end. Just a + button in projects and add folder label.

It would be so helpful to have customizable folders on the left side pane for us to organize groups of projects that are similar in type but not technically connected. We are currently trying to use labels and filters to do this kind of sorting, but it sometimes feels like more steps than it is worth.

The addition of a folder location drop down in addition to the project dropdown in the edit project modal would be a great way of managing the location options with a shorter list of of locations.

Updating the locations drop down to allow a workspace to select just parent projects to provide control of where projects can be located custom to a workspaces governance or to show project hierarchy would also be very useful.
