As long as we cannot have action cards and notifications open at the same time and seamlessly move from action card window to the notifications panel and back, what we need to do is this:
  • open an action card from the notifications panel
  • check whether everything has been done and covered
  • go back to the notifications panel (which will close the action card)
  • search for the corresponding notification(s) again
  • archive it/them.
Does this sound like a straightforward process?
Two ways to improve user experience:
1) Action cards and notification panel can be opened side by side, which these requests may cover (?):
2) Include a button in the action card that will either allow us to archive all related notifications with one click or at least take us back to the notification, i.e. open the notification panel down the list where the notification that took us to the action is located so that archiving notifications and keeping the notifications panel tidier gets easier. Caveat: Often there are more notifications referring to one action.
