Feature Requests

Currently in both Timeline and Gantt views, actions of more than one day's duration are truncated INside each action with one or two letters and an elipsis. In Timeline view, that means users must manually scroll over every action to discern its title. This can be confusing and does not support the "at a glance" purpose of Timeline or Gantt. Please consider showing action titles beside the action.

The current options don't allow for our team to adjust schedules fully. We'd like to see an option that is strict from that action forward (without affecting the previous actions or predecessors). Currently, there is no way to adjust the dates of a schedule moving forward without the previous dates also adjusting. The "On" setting only works if you're moving all the dates out, not if you want to remove days. If we've completed them or those dates are past, we don't want them to adjust, only the date AFTER the action that's moving.

Currently, when Gantt view is grouped by Phase and you filter out specific cards using the Labels filter, Phase duration will show smaller because filtered actions are not included in the calculations anymore.

When in Gantt view wherever your cursor is in the Gantt area it has a guide that follows, therefore aiding clarity on date you are looking at. Another option is that you select the date on the margin for it to produce a guide, whilst you continue to edit within gantt view.

Would like for the 'wrap text' feature in Gantt view to be available to turn on as a default per workspace (vs individual projects)

We plan our initiatives based on fiscal quarters from June-July. Right now the only ability you have is to view quarters by calendar year. I would like the ability to select the Month or Quarter header on the Gantt chart to customize how we see our quarters according to our fiscal calendar. I would expect this to apply anywhere else in my Hive environment.

Currently, Gantt view shows all global holidays and Auto-scheduling skips a day marked as a holiday even if that holiday is not assigned to you, action assignee, or any project member. It’d be useful to make Hive look at the holiday calendars that users are assigned to and only show relevant data. It’d help us avoid adjusting actions each time.

Would be helpful to be able to choose what your Gannt chart bars are colored by. For example: Color by Label, Color by Phase, Color by Status, etc.

when you flag a milestone as done in the Gantt view, this is shown as a green flag, instead of a gray flag. However in the tasks view, whenever you mark a taks as 'done', the checkbox is entirely colored Green, making for a more distinct difference between both. it would be great if this same could be applied in Gantt

Dynamic zoom and filtering and/or grouping by any column in gantt view. The current discrete options for Gantt viewing are very limited and it can be very difficult to hit the right level for a given project. Only a couple of options are supported for filtering/grouping in gantt view. Should be able to use any column's data (including multiple columns for nested filtering).
