General operation would be "Send notification". Ideally it would function in a similar way to "Send email" in terms of being able to use tokens for customizing the message with dynamic information.
Desired outcomes:
  • Send notification to assignee(s) => support a token for "assignees" when running action-context workflow
  • Send notification to specific user(s) => support standard user selection or autocomplete for hard coded list of users to notify
Ideal fields available:
  • Title => Notification title
  • Body => Preview text or body of notification
  • Notification bucket => Ability to choose whether the notification goes into the "Me" bucket or the general bucket
Assumed fields:
  • Attached item type => Action (assuming the workflow is triggered by an action - leave blank if none)
  • Attached item ID => The action ID which triggered the workflow (leave blank if none)
