Show project start and due dates on gantt view timeline

Assumed the value of defining the project start and end dates when you create the project, was that it would then apply these in the gantt view or in some way “flag” if you then set task dates outside of this range. As it is, this data appears to have no value whatsoever.

Start and end dates in gantt are based on the action cards in the project rather than the start/end in the project settings. Putting in project dates should carry over into the gantt view. Right now, we're creating extra dummy action cards solely for the purpose of capturing start and end dates.

Meredith Whatley: we are using the exact same workaround and it just doesn't make sense to do it like that...

I hope we can get something like this soon as well. One of our use-cases would be to create/share a roadmap of projects, which do have estimated dates, but no actions yet in a gantt/timeline kind of view.
