Our workspace utilizes Forms for project intake with a standardized set of subactions populated by an attached action card template. Some subactions on this action card are consistently assigned to the same member of the workplace, while some subactions must be dynamically assigned with each form submission based on a selected user in a dynamic form field. Previously, the action card's automatic "inherit from parent" behavior helped automate the correct assignation of the project owner to the relevant subaction fields (which were left unassigned in the action card template). The new change forces us to manually assign all of the unassigned subactions, which has significantly slowed our project intake.

The apply-to-all assignee overwriting function on the Hive card does not help us here, as we need is mixed assignment: some template steps always the same person, others are filled from the dynamic user field in the linked form. We are looking for the old inherit-from-parent behavior as we do not need to leave those subactions unclaimed.
