Clicking a notification almost always means I am about to take care of what I was notified about. Once I do, the notification has served its purpose and simply adds clutter to the list.

If something changes in the action that requires my renewed attention, I will receive a new notification.

On the rare occasion that I do want to keep a notification, I can always unarchive / pin it manually.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add a setting to automatically archive or dismiss a notification when it is clicked.

Let users choose the behaviour that fits their workflow:

– archive the notification upon click

– or keep it unarchived

This would eliminate a large number of unnecessary clicks and make notifications far more useful. Especially for team and project managers.

It would be a small change in design, but a game changer in day-to-day use of Hive.
