Don't Close the Notifications Panel When I Close a Task
R

Right now, this is the workflow for managing notifications:
1) Open notifications panel
2) Find the task you want to respond to
3) Click on task
4) Respond to task
5) Close Task (which for some reason automatically closes the notification panel)
6) Re-open the notification panel
7) Desperately search for the task you were interacting with
8) Dismiss the notification
Honestly, it would be even better if responding/taking action on the task automatically dismissed the notification, but I'll settle for just not losing my place in the notification panel every single time I respond to a notification.
Notifications at this point in time are a real pain to deal with, especially when you have 40+ notifications

It would be nice if we could archive a notification from the action card: https://hiveteams.canny.io/feature-requests/p/ability-to-dismiss-archive-a-notification-from-the-action-card

Three years later, no change.
I have submitted two additional requests, which would improve the situation:
- ability to bulk archive read notifications
- setting to auto-archive notifications instead of marking them as read:

I completely agree with the complete frustration of process needed today with notifications. It makes the notification functionality nearly unusable. We need the ability to PIN the notifications window and it not change position in the scroll so we don't loose the position in notifications window.
