Can we not auto archive notifications when I click the banner, it will make it easier to revisit if I need to

Yes! We have noticed that if you have hive opened (even if you're not looking at it) the system assumes you read the mention or the mention notification and it automatically goes to archive. This happens frequently when you're working with more than one monitor
