Do away with "Single" vs "Multiple" option for assignees

Having to choose between "Single" and "Multiple" when assigning users to an action creates an unnecessary additional step for users assigning tasks. The list should default to allow you to select multiple users, and if you need to only assign a single user, then you would just click the one person and then "Assign".

Currently, the task assignee menu forces users to manually switch between separate "Single" and "Multiple" tabs before selecting team members. This mode-switching pattern is an inefficient UX approach that is virtually absent in other modern project management tools. Industry standards rely on a single, unified dropdown list where users can assign a single person or check multiple names seamlessly, without needing to pre-select a mode beforehand.
1) Eliminates Repetitive Friction: Removes the need to switch tabs back and forth thousands of times per year across daily task updates, saving time and reducing UI fatigue.
2) Aligns with Standard UX Patterns: Creates a familiar, intuitive interaction model consistent with mainstream productivity software
3) Accelerates Task Creation: Streamlines workflow by letting users select one or many assignees in a single, fluid interaction.
