We would like to turn off the auto updates on the macOS app and just deploy the app from our MDM whenever there are updates ready, but we cannot do that because the Hive desktop app is an Electron app using the Squirrel update framework, which is a legacy utility that does not allow you to control those settings via configuration profile in your MDM. Our request would be to consider either moving to Sparkle where you can set that via plist or give us the ability to disable the auto updates since my users are not local admins on their MacBooks and get nagged constantly for a helper app to be installed.
