I would like a template feature that allows dates for subtasks to be set once a dependent previous task is completed, instead of the current set up, where template subtask due dates are set based on a + or – count from 0.
For example / use case – I have an action card template that encompasses campaign planning, booking and activation. The various teams and actions within the workflow have SLAs to work to, and each subtask is dependent on the previous subtask being completed – meaning we cannot know the due date for most subtasks at the start / campaign planning phase (so setting subtask deadlines based on the +/- against 0 is impossible).
What I am proposing is a template where each task has a duration value, and the date for each subtask is set once the dependent task is completed (so dates are not initially set for all subtasks, they are instead set automatically). Having the ability to set subtask deadlines within the template based on
  1. Time taken to complete the task (the SLA)
  2. The confirmation of the previous step
would be perfect for what I am trying to accomplish here.
