To streamline workspace invites and limit confusion, we've added a new method of admitting users into pre-existing workspaces.
This new method, which will be Off by default, will allow anyone with an @domain email address to join workspace automatically. When this setting is turned on, users signing up for Hive with a matching domain will be offered to join their team in Hive instead of creating a new workspace.
As an example, if someone from Hive HQ signed up for the Hive app for the first time, they'd receive the following message during their sign up process.
Note
: There will be an email verification component here - so all users who opt to join an existing workspace that matches their domain will have to verify their email.If you're an admin, you'll see the following addition to Workspace Settings:
To add the permitted domain, simply check the box next to "Allow users to automatically join the workspace," and submit the permitted domain.
