Feature overview
New in Hive Finance:
  • Progress billing.
Bill a proposal line by percent complete. Each billing run asks for percent complete × the line total, less what's already been billed. The percentage is either reported each period on the project or based on hours burned against budget.
  • QuickBooks project ↔ job sync.
Link Hive projects to QuickBooks jobs, or have Hive create the jobs for you. QuickBooks costs and revenue on a linked job show on the project. Hive never deletes a QuickBooks job.
  • Line coding by project and dimension.
Tag journal lines, invoice lines and fixed assets with a project and dimensions such as department, office or class. Then filter Profit & loss and GL detail by them. Customer profitability now attributes costs through each project's client.
  • Year-end view.
Mark equity accounts like owner distributions as
    Closes at year-end
. The balance sheet and trial balance then show the current fiscal year, with earlier years rolled into Prior years' earnings.
  • Monthly budget snapshots.
Save a month-end record of each project's budget against actual spend, captured on the 11th of the following month.
