I totally agree... at least give us the option!! This feels like someone rearranged my living room furniture without asking me and then went "Surprise!" I'm not sure how the Hive team thought the white side bar, no contrast, would be better. I hope everyone upvotes this.

yes please! It's hard to read things on the task bar on the left.

Seriously, at least give us the option. I generally live in dark mode but at least this light mode with the dark sidebar offered a nice contrast so it wasn't too much. Now it is all washed out and too bright.

I agree! If we could toggle darker and lighter background options for the sidebar / chat bar vs the main screen.
