Feature Requests

We would love the ability to assign a Team or a Placeholder as a follower on Project Templates. Right now, only specific users can be assigned as followers. Having the ability to assign a placeholder as a follower would ensure the correct members are following applicable actions once the placeholder is assigned to person.

Manage template, at a level lower than workspace. For a workspace with many users, it gets clumsy and forces undesirable naming conventions to avoid redundancy. Having a option to designate where to place the label, template, etc. (e.g., workspace level, parent project level, child project level, project level, etc.) would be ideal.

Provide the ability to set Project Template dating using backoff dates from the Project due date, rather than calendar dates, similar to how the action card template works.

Have the ability to see the Total Estimated time in a Template before applying it to a project

Currently when I create a new action the task defaults to me. When I assign a template, I want the assignee of the template override the default.

When creating a project from a template, we need an option to anchor the first action/milestone to the Project Start Date and then schedule everything forward based on the template’s relative offsets/durations. Today, Hive either back-schedules from the due date or preserves the template’s original “gap” (ex: template actions start in Sep even if the project starts in Jan). This creates manual date work, which is not feasible at 50+ projects/month. Template action/milestone dates should be treated as relative offsets/durations (to define total duration), not as fixed calendar dates that override the project start.

It would be helpful to add priorities to the action card template so the user doesn't have to apply it after.

Often times, the Admin/Manager exports the same information. It would be helpful if there was a feature to save a template of export so users don't have to keep applying the same filter every time they export.

Currently we can add the scheduled timeline (days and period) for a particular action that can be applied as action. But this feature is not available in project template, and only has the option to add start and due date, which is not a desired outcome when it comes to a new project created with the template.

I'd like to suggest that project templates also capture custom created views (i.e. if we customize columns in a table view, it would be nice if that cleaned up custom table view would automatically transfer down with the template)
