Project Navigator - Diagram View

A network diagram is the only project management tool that shows project slack (aka: float). A task's or milestone's slack is the time that the activity can be delayed without impacting the project end date. Hive actions already include parameters for all data required to construct and industry-standard network diagram; including action name, action duration, and dependancies. The new network diagram should include the critical path, early-start, early-finish, late-start-late-finish, slack, and total project duration. For simplicity, Hive could limit the node type to only milestones. A sample project description is attached with the associated network diagram. I and my students are available to help develop this.

Like MS Project's Network Diagram. A great way to show task linking AND overall progress.

Yes! I've been asking for this. They told me that Gantt view will show the critical path but it's not helpful. Hive really needs a network diagram.
